In the Blink of an Eye
Capturing the Fleeting Moments Which Shape Our Lives

Hello?
Hi. You might not remember me. My name is Angie and I
sometimes like to pretend that I am a blogger. I used to sporadically write a
blog called In the Blink of an Eye,
but somehow some time last year I stopped. But today I’m feeling bloggy
and thought I’d see if I still remember how to publish a post. So...
… maybe me and In the
Blink of an Eye and the Internet can be like old friends. We’ll just pick
up right where we left off.
Sometimes I think it’s kind of ironic that I call my blog In the Blink of an Eye when it seems as
though our lives don’t really change all that much from day to day. Sometimes,
when I don’t log on to a particular blog site for a week or so and I come back
to it, the blog family has either moved
across country, out of the country, adopted a new child or several new children,
started a ministry or lost several dozen pounds and ran a marathon. None of
that has been going on around here.
Yet…I feel as though big changes are on the brink for us.
Our family is in a big unknown place right now - a swirling, dark hole of sorts with many life
altering unknowns just over the horizon.
Randy’s job ends in a couple of weeks. (Yikes!) He’s been
interviewing and looking for another job, but as of yet there is nothing
definite in the near future.
Some of the positions Randy has applied for will take him
out of town or out of state. We may or may not be moving. If we do move, what
does that mean for Oz? Will DSS allow him to come with us? If not, what’s our
next move?
And then there’s Oz himself. Is he our child? He has
brothers and sisters that DSS will try to place for adoption together. We are
not prepared to parent 5 more children. If they can’t place the kids together
will Oz become part of our forever family?
So many questions with answers just out of reach.
One thing I am certain of, though, is that life will work
out just fine. Our Lord has a plan for us. A good one. One to give us hope and
a future. All of us.
I can’t wait to see what happens next…In the meantime I just
need to remember to breathe. ;)
And because I can’t seem to write a post without pictures,
here’s a snapshot of our little people dressed up in their Sunday best
for Easter.
I hope everyone had a joyous Easter!

All Creation Proclaims His Name
Perhaps you've seen these images before, but I saw them for the first time at Bible study last week. They are pictures taken by the Hubble telescope, which orbits Earth and studies our planet and surrounding space. That in itself is incredible, but the pictures shared on the Hubble site are amazing.
This image is of the Whirlpool galaxy, which faces Earth full-on. This galaxy is 31 BILLION LIGHT YEARS away. Think about it. Space is big. Huge. Space is filled with unknown numbers of stars, planets, galaxies. Earth is just a tiny speck of His creation.
We serve a BIG God.
The Whirlpool galaxy is just another speck in the immeasurable expanse of Creation. The Hubble telescope was able to produce an image of the very center of this far-away galaxy. And what do you think is at the center? A black hole.
A black hole with this image...
And all creation proclaims His name.
